Interview Result

We interviewed four international students. They all know Japanese Manga. Two of them have never read Japanese Manga. But they have never been there. They said if they have a free time, they want to go to Manga Cafe. They seemed to be interented in it.

The others have read "bagabondo" and "doraemon". One likes historical comics the best, and he does not like fantasy comics. They have been to Manga Cafe in Nagakute, Sakae, Osu and Ozone. They often use Internet there. To our surprise, one student is a member of "kaikatsu CLUB". We will introduce about "kaikatsu CLUB" and other Manga Cafe below so if you are interested in them, we recommend you to go.

Inside a Manga Cafe

There are 15,000～18,000 books in Manga Café. There are many kinds of comics, for example girl’s comics, boy’s comics, magazines (weekly magazines or fashion magazines) and so on. You can read these comic books as one drink and eat. You will be able to spend comfortable time here.　

Rooms

When we use Manga Café, we usually rent one room. This is an example of modern general room we rent. We can read books, watch TV, play video game and use internet privately. Moreover, there are Manga café that has many kinds of rooms but if you want to use big or rich rooms, you need to pay more money.

This is in front of APITA in Nagakute. It takes about 20 minutes to walk from NUFS. Kaikatsu Club open 24 hours. There are many equipments and services. In addition to basic equipments, there are billiards and darts. Moreover you can drink soft drinks as much as you wants for free there. You need to pay 260 yen for the first 30 minutes. If you want to stay there more, you need to pay more 80 yen per 10 minutes.

"Mamboo"

This is MamBoo that is one of famous Manga cafe. MamBoo also open 24 hours. We can take a shower for free but if you want to take a shower, you need a bath towel. Of course you can play video games, use internet, eat food and read comic books. You need to pay 360 yen for the first 1 hour and if you stay there more, you need to pay more 105 yen per 15 minutes.
